Two ways to spend an evening in the same building: a hearth to sit at, and a bar to fill.
The den is the small half. A stone hearth, layered rugs, a bench deep enough to sit sideways on, and a table for Triple Triad games with friends. A casual, cozy hangout space.
The tavern has a full bar with barrels and graded bottle shelves and seating pushed outward so the middle stays walkable. Water walls run behind the bar and a tree grows out of a raised planter, which keeps a large hard-surfaced room from feeling empty.
Both halves share the same brick and stone vocabulary, so moving between them feels like moving through one building rather than between two sets. A dual-sided fireplace warms both spaces.
What went into it
- A love for casual Triple Triad tournaments with friends informed the vibe
- Layered rugs in the den: a large blue ground with smaller patterned ones over it
- Bar run with barrels below and graded bottle shelves behind
- Water walls and a raised tree planter breaking up the tavern's hard surfaces
- The central floor left clear throughout, so a full room can still circulate
- Shared brick and stone across both halves so they read as one building
