The idea: A house for someone who works where they rest — the easel and the bed in the same breath.

The studio sits low. There's no desk and no dining chair in it; the whole room works at floor height, around a cozy low table with a maroon throw and scattered pillows. An easel stands to one side holding a blank canvas — the only upright object in the room, so the eye goes straight to it.

The walls carry the colour rather than the furniture: gold wallpaper with a running-chocobo motif, dark timber, and windows framed by climbing vines and strung lights. Storage boxes sit in a row above the windows, high enough to read as texture instead of clutter.

The bed is the counterweight. Pale walls, an A-frame ceiling, and a blossoming tree grown indoors. Everything is soft and light where the studio is warm and dense, and a marble-framed bookcase alcove gives it one formal element to sit against.

What went into it:
- The studio built entirely at floor height — cushions and low tables, no upright seating
- A single easel as the only vertical object, so the room has one focal point
- Gold wallpaper carrying the colour instead of the furnishings
- Storage boxes lined up above the window run, reading as texture rather than clutter
- Climbing vines and strung lights used to frame the windows from inside
- A blossoming tree grown indoors over the bed
- Soft jellyfish lamps hung at three heights to fill the A-frame's vertical space

Photographs:
- The studio — gold chocobo-motif wallpaper, a low table with a maroon throw and scattered cushions, and an easel holding a blank canvas (caption: The studio: everything at floor height, one easel upright.)
- The studio seen past a blossoming branch, floor cushions and low tables beyond
- Windows with drawn curtains above the studio's floor seating, strung lights along the frames
- Storage boxes lined up above the window run, climbing vines threading between them (caption: Storage kept high, so it reads as texture.)
- The window bench at the studio's edge, vines and warm lights framing the glass
- The bedroom — a marble-framed bookcase alcove, glowing jellyfish lamps at three heights, and a pair of blue beasts resting on cushioned benches (caption: The bedroom, and its two resident beasts.)
- A blossoming tree grown indoors over a low bed beneath an A-frame ceiling (caption: A tree brought inside, over the bed.)
- The bed under blossom, bookshelf and warm lamp beyond
- A painted hanging scroll beside the bedroom's bookshelf and blossom branches
